Exit Strategy Questionnaire

What is an exit strategy?  An exit strategy is your business road map.  The route you take that will lead you to exiting your business without any regrets.   The best reason for an exit strategy is to optimize a good business situation and build a road map to your ultimate dream exit.

An exit strategy doesn’t tell you how to sell your business. It tells you why you’re selling that business, what elements of the sale are negotiable and what elements are not. It helps you identify when you want to sell and which elements of the sale need further research.

Your exit strategy may sound negative unless you’re actually ready to exit. Don’t let that put you off of developing your exit strategy and reviewing and adjusting your plan annually.

We suggest that you do an annual review.  Set specific actions needed to ensure that you’re staying on track for a successful exit.  Your annual review should include:

  • Performing a company valuation with set Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

  • Review and sense check your “why, what, won’t, and when”

  • Define, then adjust as needed, your exit and growth plans.  Set and manage annual initiatives.

We recommend you select a coach/mentor to guide you and hold you accountable.  Paradise Capital is available for this service, if desired.
